David Ambinder, owner of Mr. Handyman in Union County, was named 2011 Franchisee of the Year from among 250 franchise units across the country. He received the award for showing an unwavering dedication to top quality service and brand growth as well as consistently high marks in customer satisfaction and tremendous repeat business rates. David was honored at the company’s annual convention, where he was invited to share his business expertise and accept his award. Among many positive aspects of David’s business, one statistic really stood out. From 2010 to 2011, David improved his Mr. Handyman franchise sales by 79 percent – answering the high demand for home repairs, maintenance and improvements in central New Jersey. “There were many well-deserving nominees this year and it was not easy to select one winner, but David clearly stood out. He is truly a model franchisee in the Mr. Handyman system,” said Alex Roberts, President of Mr. Handyman International. “In fact, in only his third full year in business, he has demonstrated tremendous leadership and commitment to the Mr. Handyman brand.” As a member of the Mr. Handyman President’s Circle for franchisees with high sales, David is most proud of his overwhelmingly positive customer feedback and repeat business rates – a strong indicator of why he won the award. As well, David was the recipient of a 2011 Super Service Award from Angie’s List, a highly recommended consumer rating service website. “Our repeat customer rate was 74 percent last year and was the main reason why we have been able to grow our business in this economy,” said Ambinder. “Consumers are looking for a trusted partner to take on many of the complex issues in managing their home improvements. We are fortunate to have been chosen by a select niche of consumers looking for a high quality service provider.”
