Go for walk with a Turtle

Children's Day

Wednesday through Saturday evenings in June and July. Wildlife Turtle Walks are amazing experiences that allow visitors to learn about, and observe, the nesting and egg-laying process of sea turtles. For more information, please call Marinelife Center at 561.627.8280.

International Children's Day is observed on June 01. The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland, proclaimed June 1 to be International Children's Day in 1925. After the conference, different governments around the world decided to declare a day as Children's Day to draw attention to children's issues. Many countries chose June 1, so this is the reason, why International Children's Day takes place on June 1.

Hug Your Cat!

Hug Your Cat Day takes place on June 04. Give your cat or cats a big hug on this day! Hugs from cats and giving hugs to cats will lower a person’s blood pressure, or mental goals, such as decreased stress. There is evidence that having a pet can help a person lead a longer, healthier life.

Chocolate Ice Cream Day

National Chocolate Ice Cream Day is observed on June 07 . Chocolate ice cream is the second most common flavor of ice cream, after vanilla. The flavor has been in existence for well over a hundred years, and has been popular in the United States since the late 19th century. Enjoy!

Father’s Day June 15

This year, do something a little different by showing your dad how much he means to you with a very special day.
