MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV)--Maumelle Mayor Mike Watson and State Representative Ed Garner along with local teen Michael Silva-Nash will be presenting a $1,500 check to the Dorcas House Wednesday at the Arkansas State Capitol. The money was raised during the Ms. Molly Foundation drive, which raises money annually to support domestic violence awareness. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, approximately 1.3 million women are physically assaulted by an intimate partner annually in the United States. The Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence has several resources for victims of domestic violence.
