Celebrate Earth Day Earth Day, April 22. This is the perfect time to plant a tree or recycle. You can also pick up trash to help beautify a park. In addition, you can make crafts out of recycled materials.

Go for a flower walk. Find a botanical garden or a park in your area and see how many different flowers you can find. Take pictures or even better take paper and art supplies with you and spend the afternoon drawing pictures. You’ll have a fun afternoon and have some fresh art work for your home.

Traditional Passover Seder Ceremony and Dinner

This will be the last month of the foreign films for the season. The movies picked are English, Algerian, and Danish.

Please note the days are different for April.

On Tuesday, April 8th will be a film from London. The hall porter is sent upstairs to repair a blocked toilet and finds the source of the problem. Come see this splendid film , which incorporates a thriller and a love story with much energy. You will leave knowing money can buy anything including happiness. Wednesday, April 16th there will be (Thank God for Sunday). As Americans we rarely get a chance to see and understand the various cultures that populate this planet that we all share. Seeing Foreign Language films benefits us often by seeing the aspects of society that we find strange. In 1974 France passed a law that enabled the families of their immigrant workers to join them. But not always do the fathers adapt to the new ways, sometimes they cling on to the past. You will see that mother in laws are sometimes considered evil to daughter in laws in other countries as well! Hopefully no one here that has issue! Wednesday, April 23rd ends the films for the season. Please note there will be only one showing for this film. It is 2 hours and 17 minutes long. This historical drama is about an ordinary man who wins a queen’s heart. Although they are truly in love, it seems that their love is more in what they are doing for the country than each other at times. This is a must see movie from 2012, for there is nothing like a DANE.

POLO GAME & BRUNCH AT POLO CLUB Sundays, Sunday 13 The International Polo Club at Wellington is one of the elite polo clubs in the USA. This year the US Open will be held at the Wellington club. The Polo event is the place to be and definitely dress to impress. We will leave Frenchman’s at 12:15 pm. Total price: $100 per person, includes brunch and transportation. We will enjoy the polo game right from the Mullet restaurant at the Polo Club. Game starts at around 3:00pm and it lasts approximately two hours. For those interested, we are also offering a $24 per person two hour open bar. Space is limited.

BREEZY TUESDAYS AT THE BEACH CLUB B EACH F ISHING T UESDAY 8:30 AM Join us on Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 9:30 am to fish your own “Catch of the Day” at the Beach Club. Living a Healthy Lifestyle by Tiffany De Souza, Director of Fitness & Spa

As challenging as people may think it is to lead a healthy lifestyle every day, you would be surprised at just how easy it is. So many people think that staying healthy involves a lot of work, but staying fit is actually easier than being lazy and unhealthy. You will be surprised by how easy it can be! It is important to note that living a healthy lifestyle is not just about eating the right foods and exercising. If you want to be truly fit, you need to take everything you do into consideration. This includes easing stress: making smart choices; and also listing to your body. Everywhere we look, we’re being bombarded by messaging, ordering us to get healthier: Shape up! Eat better! Exercise more! Lose weight! And after of those commercials, most of us are confused about what we really need to in order to adopt that healthy lifestyle. A nutritious, balanced diet is your first step. Lots of scientists and doctors spent a lot of time and effort putting together the food pyramid. Follow it. Getting a good balance of vitamins and nutrients is what your body needs to be healthy and fight off disease. Make sure you learn which foods are best for absorption of those vitamins and minerals and then choose your diet full of them!

With our busy lifestyles and family lives, we are not getting the rest we need do desperately. Your sleep time is important time for the body to fix the damage that was done the previous day. The time you spend sleeping is the time the body has to recharge its batteries. For better healthy, eight hours of sleep per night is

Security Updates by Mark Hall, Director of Security

SPEEDS ARE DOWN

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents for reducing their speed within the community. We have realized a 20% reduction in speeds under 40 mph and a 45% reduction in speeds 40mph and over. This is due to all of you making a concerted effort to be aware of your speed and reduce it to create a safe community for all of us to live and work. We can still improve on these numbers. I would encourage all of you to remind your family members, friends, guests and vendors that our traffic rules are photo enforced. The Traffic Hawk is being deployed on a daily basis throughout the community, day and night. I look forward to a continued reduction in our ongoing effort to make our community as safe as possible.

I have received numerous complaints about unsafe golf cart operation at the Verdun and Verde cuts. The complaints consist of excessive speed, travelling in the wrong lane and not stopping at the STOP signs. I am confident, with a little effort we can greatly reduce these issues and be respectful of our fellow cart drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. The alternative to self-correction is to install traffic calming measures. These mea s u r e s c ou l d i nc l ude l ane delineators, a median/curb installed in the center of the cart path or enforcement measures. None of this will be necessary with a little effort and consideration on all of our parts. Thank you for your time and attention to this very important safety issue. GOLF CART SAFETY
