This year’s Shoot Out was billed for Monday, April 20, 2015. However, it turned out to be a two day event called because of torrential rains. The shoot out was held on the front nine of the South Course and there were 15 participants: Rich Luchini, Rocco Panzitta, Billy Burke, Luis Leon, Chris Horn, Todd Kitchen, Tom Kubinski, Ben Warren, Jon- athan Cope, Joe Radulski, Dan Southam, Sam Dunn, Peter Lekhoaba, Joel Tipton and Sam Wilding. The format was that three groups of five would tee off beginning at 12:45 p.m. To those who did not watch Coming Events on Channel 999, you missed out on free hot dogs, sodas and chips before tee off time. In addition to the food, there was excitement around the “tent” of pari-mutuel betting. All fifteen players played the first three holes and the lowest

seven went on to the Shoot Out. There was a chip off for the seventh position and Luis won. He plus Rich, Chris, Ben, Jonathan, Joe and Peter were the lucky seven to continue. HOWEVER, the rains came and play was called, but that did not stop our wonderful Food and Beverage staff who prepared a fabulous cocktail party held at four p.m. instead of five! It poured Tuesday morning, ladies golf was cancelled and all thought the rain would never end, but it did and 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21st play resumed on a somewhat rain soaked course. Our drainage such, the course was playable and play started on the 4th hole. Jonathan was out on hole #4; in a chip off between Peter and Luis on Hole #5, Luis won. Ben was out hole #6, Rich lost on #7 and then on #8, there was a chip off between Chris and Joe with Joe winning. Then there were two Luis and Joe and Joe won on the 9th Hole with Luis second and Chris third! It was an exciting event, congratulations to all the winners. Once again, our Food and Beverage staff amazed us with a luncheon that only Frenchman’s Creek could do with salads of tuna, egg, mixed salads, a shrimp dish in addition to shrimp cocktail and what else to end the meal but cookies!
