Tuesday, March 25th “ 2 over 1 System - 1 NT Forcing”

Learn the system used by most of today's better players. It allows more informative communication between partners about the shape and strength of their hands and is not difficult to understand. Even if you don’t use the system, it will give you a better understanding of the opponents bidding and how you can more effectively defend against it.

This month’s features are from Italy, Israel, and Mexico.

Wednesdays March 12 March 19

The First film from Italy received 9 awards from the Italian equivalent of our Academy Awards. It dares to show that women over the age of 40 can be adventurous and reject the ordinary. The city of Venice is the costar of this charming film. The 2nd film takes us to Israel. There are 2 types of films, one to entertain, and the other to entertain but also provoke thought and argument. This is one of the second category. The daughter of a distinguished Rabbi asks her father to postpone her wedding so she may continue her studies, but her real goal lies elsewhere. This particular film won the Israeli award for drama in 2007. If anyone remembers the television show "Laugh IN", it had a lead called "NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT". And that’s what will be shown for the 3rd film. Taking place in Mexico, the movie starts in a familiar manner as what we see on TV, the audience will vote to replace a fading star of a popular soap opera. Hopefully you will leave with the admiration and satisfaction for the growing Mexican film industry. All titles will be announced the week prior to the film. Please mark your date books and join me in proudly showing 3 wonderful foreign films. I believe NO TISSUES NEEDED!

Golf Course

South Golf Course Improvement What is going to be done to The South Course Improvement project is planned to begin in early April. The course will remain open while the existing grass is sprayed; construction will begin on Thursday, May 1st.

Three major improvements will enhance the enjoyment of the South Course. First, the entire course will be re-grassed using the best varieties of turf. Second, design adjustments will be made to improve playability. These include enlarging, moving or adding tees to provide more options for course set up, softening approximately 10% of the fairway surfaces, cart path repositioning on three holes, bunker modifications and a new #17 green. Last, the landscape on the course will be updated and feature a beautiful and continuous theme. There are also plans to renovate the short game practice area. A large U.S.G.A green featuring the same grass on the golf courses, three sand bunkers and multiple chipping areas with new turf will provide more practicing options. The contractor should be finished in early August and the grass will need three months to mature. The new and improved south course is scheduled to be open for play November 1st.

Tips for When Your Email Account Is Hacked

Security was recently informed that some members within Frenchman’s Creek had experienced their Google Gmail account had been hacked. Someone was able to get the list of contacts from these member’s accounts and send out bogus emails to family, friends and business associates. Listed below you will find tips for what to do if you experience a similar situation. You think you've taken all the right steps to protect your email account. However, despite your best efforts, it's been hacked. Your friends are texting and calling you, wondering if you're really stuck in London without your passport and money. You're finding yourself locked out of your email account. Now what do you do? Here are seven steps to keep you and your email contacts safe after your email account has been hijacked or otherwise compromised.

1. Check your email provider's site for information. Most email providers like Yahoo, Google and Microsoft will have online instructions on what do to in case of an account takeover. Yahoo Mail has a links entitled "I can't access my account" on the front page; for Microsoft's Outlook.com, it's "Can't access your account?" Google has separate sets of instructions for "Compromised Gmail account" and "Someone is sending from my address" in the Security & Privacy section under Help. 2. Call your email provider to report the incident. "If [the website FAQ] doesn't work for you, call [the company] directly and ask to speak to their tech department to find out what you should do," said Adam Levin, former director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and the founder of Credit.com and Identity Theft 911. You should also report the incident

have received emails from your hijacked account should run malware scans, Levin said. 4. Examine your personal email settings. Your email hijackers might have created forwarding policies from your email address to other addresses. Those other email addresses will receive everything you receive — including bank statements and personal messages. "Even if you get back in your email and s traighten everything out, unbeknownst to you, it is forwarding every email you are sending and receiving to the hacker," Levin said. Look at your email account's signature settings to be sure the hacker hasn't changed your automatic signature. "Check to make sure you signature block hasn't become 'Hello Kitty,'" Levin said. "They might have put some malicious links in there as well."

to your email provider's security team, Levin said. "Do this as you're in the process of getting your email account back," he said. "It can help them find a pattern they can use with law enforcement to help find the people who are doing it — although the problem is usually the people who are doing it are 17 countries removed." 3. Alert family, friends and acquaintances. "You should tell people that your email has been hacked and that they might be receiving emails from you asking for money or promoting certain products or services — but they weren't really from you," Levin said. "You also have to deliver the bad news," he added. "If, by some chance, they actually clicked on whatever the [hackers] sent, it is not inconceivable that there might have been malware attached to it." Both you and all the persons who

5. Change your password and user ID. "If you are one of those people who believes in a universal password and user ID, it is time to revise your beliefs," Levin said. "Change your password and user ID on all the other sites where you've used your email password and user ID — and use different ones for each site," he said. "You have to change them up. Make them long and strong, and use alphanumeric passwords and user IDs." 6. Look in your email folders. "It's a wonderful, eye-opening experience" to look in your email folders, "because you're going to see things you forgot you had in there," Levin said. "And when you see them," he said, "you will delete them and delete anything that leads to another site — and then change the user ID and password associated with those other sites." 7. Get serious about monitoring your other accounts. If your email account has been hijacked, you may find that a little paranoia is a good thing, Levin said. "That means look at your credit reports, go to sites where you can get your credit scores for free, and where you can go back every 30 days or so, and make sure there is no change — especially a negative change — in your score," Levin said. "Look at your bank accounts, your credit card accounts, a couple minutes a day," he added. "If you're really worried, then you should enroll in more sophisticated credit- and fraud-monitoring programs. "You should also check with your insurance company, bank, credit union [and] employer to see if they have a program available that you may already be enrolled in, or [that] you can spend a few dollars and enroll in," Levin said. "You decide whether it's worth it or not."

EXIT LANE ARROWS We recently had directional arrows painted on the exit lanes of the community. Please make sure you obey these arrows and do not make left turns from the right lane. This has been an issue raised by numerous residents who witness other residents racing around them from the right lane, making a left turn. This driving action could lead to traffic accidents and should be avoided. LAMP POSTS A well-lit property is essential to its safety and security. This is why it is so important that all residents keep the lamps on throughout the night. If all residents were to turn their lampposts off at night, it would create an unsafe environment for pedestrians walking in the evening and could be conducive to criminal activity. TRAFFIC HAWK Please be reminded about our traffic safety initiative to reduce speeding within our community. The Traffic Hawk system operates day and night throughout the community.
