BARRY MORENO has been librarian and historian at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum and the Statue of Liberty National Monument since 1988. The Statue of Liberty Encyclopedia (2000), The Encyclopedia of Ellis Island (2004), Ellis Island’s Famous Immigrants (2008), and The Ellis Island Quiz Book (2011). He also co-edited a scholarly study on world migration called Leaving Home: Migration Yesterday and Today (2011). His biography has been included in Who’sWho Among Hispanic Americans , The Directory of National Park Service Historians , Who’sWho in America , and The Directory of American Scholars . Mr. Moreno lives in NewYork City. HAL MARCOVITZ has written more than 100 books for young readers. He lives in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Gail. They have two grown daughters,Ashley and Michelle.
