In addition to the 15kV product, Kerite has begun to manufacture a 2,500kcmil 69kV power cable, for customers who need to increase ampacity above 15kV in a particular circuit. The 69kV option is a new product for Kerite and, as with the 15kV, has been addedas a result of customer enquiries and demand. “The 2,500kcmil cable is a way for us to broaden our power cable offering to our customers,” said Tanya Lauer, vice president of sales for Kerite. “It’s great to have the 2,500kcmil back in our portfolio, and the expansion up to 69kV will also give our customers another goodoption toconsider.” A new, higher speed, version of the 36" single twist cabler is now on offer from Dynamex Corporation. The STC-36HS is designed to run at a significantly higher speed than the standard model STC-36RD. It is primarily suited to manufacturers who run mostly smaller size cables with short lays, where production can benefit from the higher speed, in exchange for giving up heavier cable capacity. Other new developments from Dynamex include an auto-splicing tape payoff, utilizing Siemens or Allen-Bradley controls, that runs both flat or traversed tapepads. Also new is a dual-tape payoff for operating with cablers where two tapes are run simultaneously with separately controlled tensions. Manufacturers who use stempacs or drums could benefit from Dynamex’s driven, Single twist cabler
