(Continued from Page 11) is one of the easiest ways to support our efforts. We look forward to a great snowmobiling season this year. Amber Kirby BMSR Secretary MOOSEHEAD RIDERS sc Greenville, ME Find us on Facebook The big news is that the Moose Brook bridge replacement is nearly completed as of this writing. This means that the Moose Mountain Club Trail between Greenville Junction and the North Rd. will be open for sleds now and ATV’s next summer. The 34-year-old bridge had been sagging for years. A couple of pic tures show the new structure before the deck ing was completed.
PENOBSCOT sc Hermon, ME Find us on Facebook: @Sled Hermon Hello everyone, Can you believe It’s November 22nd and we still have no snow and have not had any cold weather yet. Do we still live in Maine? We have been having some great meetings with some good attendance 18 to 20 people, sometimes more. We have started having pot luck dinner meetings the second Wednesday of the month. Some really great food comes from good cooks. We have made the decision to have our Christmas party right at our club this year and to have it the second meeting as it is pot luck already. Now that it is public knowledge, we are the proud recipients of a grant from the USDA. Our trail master has been working very hard for this for a few years now. Thank you for your hard work and dedication Byron, we as a club appreciate you and your efforts that will help this club for many years. Plans were made to participate in the Ban gor holiday parade. It is very sad that we lost one of our very special members. He was always there to help in any way that he could. You could count on him for whatever we come up with. Vintage races to truck pulls. Mark also took care of the landscaping in front of our building. Mark Czarnecki you are and will be missed. RIP Club secretary Deanna COASTAL REGION
WALDOBORO SNO-CRAWLERS Waldoboro, ME
Hello Everyone, The club has been very busy taking advan tage of the dry weather conditions. We have been able to get out on the trails every Sun day to work, and as of November 7 th we have already logged 150 work hours.
ALNA sc Alna, ME Hello fellow readers and riders,
Tabatha and Kristina here as newly appointed Club Reporters. We would like to thank Joel Verney for his years of service. We are happy and excited to take on this new role of keeping everyone informed of the club news. First order of business at this month’s meeting was to appoint the officers; Jay Ver ney - President, Kristina Verney – Vice Pres ident, John Shorey – Treasurer, Sonya Ver ney – Secretary, Tabatha Sawyer – Assistant Treasurer, Sawyer Hull – Trail Master and the newly appointed delegates – Estelle Carey with Alternate Delegate – Ken Carey. Thank you to all our members who step up to these roles and help the club run smoothly. The MSA show at the Augusta Civic Center was a huge success this year, we loved see ing all the people come out. Even though the weather was a sunny 70 degrees that weekend, snow was still on everyone’s mind. The club purchased some new carbide runners for the club machines from the non-profit company that supports veterans. We had a big turnout again this year at the Trick-or-Trunk event at the Wiscasset Speed way with many smiling kids and adults alike, all dressed up for Halloween. We would like to make a special shout out and welcome back Richard and Vanessa Jordan as business mem bers to the club who give a generous donation to our club each year. Thank you both! In other news, the club elected to donate to Johnny Siegers to support him during this difficult time after his home was a total loss in a recent fire. Johnny was a founding member of the Alna Snowmobile Club, and we thank him tremen dously for all his contributions over the years. In Trail News, we had a crew go out last Sunday to begin clearing trees and limbs, they made it all the way around 1 – mile camp and met up with the Wiscasset Club who were also out clearing trails. It was discussed that the first bridge to be replaced will be John Jr’s and work will begin on that Saturday, November 9 th . Signs in Averill’s Field will go up this year upon first snowfall. Club Reporters; Tabatha Sawyer and Kris tina Verney Greetings to all from the Wiscasset Sno-Goers, As I write this on a Mid-October morning, having just turned on the heat in the house for the first time; it’s an exciting time of year! Leaves are changing, EVERYTHING is Pumpkin spice and like most clubs, we here on the mid-coast are gearing up and ever opti mistic for a great winter. Some business to attend to: 1) The Sno Goers held their season opening pot luck / meeting on Oct 10 th . Got some busi ness completed as well as had some great food and some laughs! 2) Some events planned include once again, supporting the MSA (and our club) with MSA Super Raffle tickets. 3) We are planning our annual holiday, ok… CHRISTMAS Party in mid-December. 4) And just a reminder – Last year the Sno Goers developed a partnership with the Wis casset FD and have been provided access to their training building next door to our club house. This facility will give us a bit more space for meetings and other gatherings. The club house will continue to be the hub for trail and grooming operations but this extra space at the training facility is a great addition and we are excited. By the time you read this in December, we will have voted our officials in… I have some predictions but no sneak peeks from me…you will have to tune into the next submittal… The Sno-goers meet on the 2 nd Thursday of each Month beginning in October and running through April. The meetings are held at the WISCASSET SNO-GOERS Wiscasset, ME

I hope the hunters are having great success in the woods this year! Our club has been busy on the trails. The trails are being cleared and prepared for a fantastic trail riding experience throughout Sebago! Our club is fortunate to have outstanding volunteers every Sunday throughout Novem ber to work on trails. Thank you for your continued support. It truly has an enormous impact on the riding experience.
Our club trail on the airport property has a re-route along the tree line in the vicinity of East Road. It is well marked and eliminates a sharp turn and decline. Please, no short cuts at this active airport and stay on the marked trail. Enjoy the winter. Bob Ludwig, Secretary raludwig184@gmail.com Well, we’ve had an incredibly nice autumn with 60’s and 70’s in October. November has been warmer than usual and nice but now it’s time for cold weather...bone chilling, ice-forming cold. The kind of cold that puts frost in the ground and ice on the lakes. Then, let it snow. Blue Ridge Riders had a work day on November 3rd, organized by Trail Master Levi Tiffany. Over a dozen hearty souls checked, cleared and brushed out several miles of trails. We put 8 pickup loads of slabs on some pesky mud holes to allow us to get over them ear lier in the season. We have worked on kiosks, bridges and signs, and as we get closer to win ter we will get all of the last minute jobs done. President Mark Boynton is having the usual discussions with big land owners to keep the trails open. The groomers and operators are ready. It’s time to join your local clubs and register the sleds. We’re having our Cash Calendar for Febru ary again. Here’s how it works. For $10 per calendar, you get your name in the hat. We have a drawing every day in February and the cash prizes range from $100 to $500. The last day’s drawing is $1000. If you win, your name goes back in the hat so your chances continue for the entire month. Text your name and address to Mike and Gail Hoyt at (207) 441-0937 and they will send you as many calendars as you want. Buy early! Buy often! Our meetings are on the 3 rd Saturday of the month at Darren Milliken’s “Megawatt Lounge” on Maynard Rd. in Rockwood. There will be no meeting in December because of Christmas, so the next meeting is Saturday January 18 th . Happy hour and potluck from 6-7pm and the meeting starts at 7:00. Mike Hoyt BLUE RIDGE RIDERS sc Rockwood, ME
We did a full bridge replacement up by Niemeyer’s field one Sunday which took the entire day. The club truly brought their “A” game, to get this done. As such we would like to give special thanks to Gavin McLain who donated the use of his bog matts, and Tony Lash with the use of his excavator, Ric Brav oco for cooking hot dogs and labor, along with Dave, Troy, Carl, Eric, Zack, Lily and Mor ganne for labor and Ben Scott who continued brush hogging the overgrown trails. The following Sundays were more bridge work in South Waldoboro where two bridges were made into one continuous bridge. Back up to North Waldoboro for a bridge replace ment on the Libby property and continuous brush hogging and general trail maintenance which also consists of removing large rocks, tree limbs and fallen brush. At this rate the club has a good chunk of the trails ready for a freeze and some snow. We have some of the most dedicated club members Dave, Tony, Ben, Troy, Ric, Carl, Ryan, and Gabe. This group you will find on the trails most Sundays so please stop by and say hello and if you enjoy using the trails for walking, hiking, biking, skiing, or sledding be sure to thank them. We also cannot forget our appreciation for our loyal members, our Sec retary Jimi Hunt who keeps everything orga nized, and our new members Jack and Travis along with our loyal businesses. The Waldob oro Sno-Crawlers is one of the oldest snow mobile clubs in Maine and is generational and a part of Waldoboro’s history. It is nice and refreshing to see her still going strong. So, with that we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays and fingers crossed we get a freeze and snow this

We cleared and brushed out about 90% of our trail system to date. Given the several windy days in November, a continued revis iting of cleared trails is necessary. Our focus will be to finish our connector trail on Long Hill going towards the Folly Road along with placing signage. It’s been great being on the trails this Fall! We meet all sorts of enthusiasts from dirt bike riders, trappers and Jeep lovers all enjoying the outdoor trails. Club meetings are held the 1 st Wednesday of each month at the old town hall in Sebago. Hope to see you there! Club dues are due for the 2024-2025 season. You can contact John Gillis at j.gillis_sebago branchduckers@yahoo.com for more infor mation. Stay Safe on the Trails,
