As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.” ~ John 5.30 So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.” ~ John 8.28 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. ~ John 17.4 Jesus was the perfect representative of God, and accomplished the will of God in every respect. Like him, we are called to have the same mind, the same inclination and spirit, to give ourselves to do the tasks that he has called us to do. We are to “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus (Phil. 2.5), who emptied himself, took on the form of a servant, and was obedient to death, dying on the cross for us” (Phil. 2.6-8).
