Unique approach to achieve results A unique approach by S & E Specialty Polymers’ research and development team has led to the development of a new generation of TPO-based zero Halogen compounds under its GTPO-9100 series. The compounds offer excellent physical properties, a temperature rating of 90°C-105°C and can be produced in a wide Durometer Range. Applications for the product include communication and fibre optic cables. A second major breakthrough was also achieved after an unconventional method was used to simulate the Steiner tunnel conditions in the laboratory. The FS-1000 Plenum compound is RoHS compliant and combines great processability along with outstanding electrical characteristics. This makes it suitable for not only PVC/PVC applications but also for the applications requiring higher electrical categories in wire and cable.
