4 credits day; 4 credits evening.

The course examines the concepts and scope of the Uniform Commercial Code; in particular, Sales of Personal Property (Article 2 as a supplement to the Contracts course), Leases of Personal Property (Article 2A), Negotiable Instruments (Article 3), Letters of Credit (Article 5) and Secured Transactions (Article 9). Also, ancillary bodies of law (i.e. fraudulent conveyances, bankruptcy, wire transfers, documents of title, etc.) will be discussed to provide an overview of fundamental commercial law concepts.
