H.O.P.E. Foundation News

Welcome, incoming freshmen and families! Spreading the word on the good-works of the foundation, HOPE Foundation board members greeted new students and their families at the two freshman orientation meetings in February. Did you see us at the RORO Expo? Again, the HOPE Foundation was proud to attend the RoRo Expo at Roscoe Middle School on Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4 amongst hundreds of local small businesses, organizations and community leaders.

“Touch of Hollywood” Benefit Dinner & Dance Celebrating 18 years of giving, the HOPE Foundation hosted its “Touch of Hollywood” benefit dinner and dance on March 10 at the America Legion Center in Rockton. The hall was transformed into a red-carpet affair, complete with a paparazzi-welcome, ostrich-feather centerpieces and film reels floating from the chandeliers. A full-house of community supporters, small business owners and leaders dressed in ballroom gowns and even full tuxedos to carry out the Hollywood theme. Cathy Bellich from State Farm Insurance sponsored the evening entertainment, Pablo & the RhythMix. For the first year, the silent auction was mobile. And, although too early to share the final numbers, it is believed that the HOPE Foundation raised the most money on the silent auction than ever before—thanks to the quality and quantity of the silent auction prizes. WE can’t thank our supporters enough for making the night—and the foundation—a success.

It’s never too early to plan—the next “Touch of Spring” benefit dinner is scheduled for March 9, 2019!
