AUTHOR’S PROFILE

LYNN SHAUINGER

Lynn Shauinger was born in the mountains of Arizona and grew up in Los Angeles and Phoenix. She completed her undergraduate degree in English literature from Arizona State University. Then she lived in the South for several years due to her husband being in the military and being stationed there. There she received her master’s degree in Emotional Disturbances from the College of Francisco after her husband’s second tour overseas. Lynn then did postgraduate work in hypnosis at the University of San Francisco and substitute teaching in the high school districts in all the Bay Area. Ten years after being injured in Vietnam, Lynn’s husband decided to go off wandering to find himself, leaving her and their four children alone and dejected. They persisted, and she began her counseling business, incorporating her training, wisdom, spiritual astrology, and natural medicine, until today. She has a herb and flower garden, which inspired her work. Also, Lynn’s four grown children and three grandchildren have brought many challenges, but so much happiness, to her life and continue to teach her what is important. What once were lemons are now lemonade.
