BIO Buzz 2017 Day 2
BIO IS OUR BUSINESS “Over the next decade, Oklahoma City is positioned as the premier global destination for innovation at the intersection between energy and health care.”
Bruce J. Katz Centennial Scholar at the Brookings Institution
Located at the crossroads of America, Oklahoma City also sits at the crossroads of innovation and research. Spurred by the opening of a GE oil and gas research center in Oklahoma City’s research district, The Brookings Institution partnered with the Project for Public Spaces to study innovation in Oklahoma City. They found that Oklahoma City companies were on the cutting-edge of the health care, energy and aerospace sectors. The study has resulted in the formation of an innovation district to foster technology collaborations between the sectors. The time is now to get in on the ground floor of America’s next hub of innovation.
