Dose and fractionation

• Most patients: – 28 Gy in 4 fractions (700 cGy/fx) • 2 insertions one week apart

– Start during last week of external beam treatment • 2 fractions with each insertion (at least 6 hours apart)

– 900 cGy x 2 (single implant) has been used in select cases ( Patil, Brachytherapy 2011 )
