Bearing SYS New York print $1 in pair, both stamps top perf. trimmed, tied by char. ‘KWANGTUNG/TAIPU’ ‘ 大埔 ’ cds, bilingual ‘KUKONG/12.5.42’, ‘KUMING/22.5.42’ transit, on reverse with ‘SAN FRANCISCO/14.1.43’ transit and ‘NEW YORK/20.1.43’ arrival cancel x 2, roughly opened and a few tears at edges. This cover went through Burma-Rangoon-Calcutta, then finally reached USA. On 30th Apr. 1942, the Burma Road (postal route) was blocked, this cover was delayed for 8 months.
