PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

Marques L. Williams is part of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group as a Director in the firm’s West Los Angeles office. Marques specializes in advising the real estate needs of highly innovative and disruptive companies. Marques’s clients enjoy conflict free representation as he exclusively represents Tenants as their commercial real estate advisor. He is primarily focused on media, technology, ecommerce, and entertainment related industries. This experience allows him to offer vertically integrated solutions at the intersection of industry-specific knowledge and market expertise. Marques adds value through detailed research and evaluation of sites and facilities; creation and implementation of strategic real estate plans; analysis of the financial impact of lease, purchase, disposition and/or termination of redundant facilities; and the development, implementation and documentation of negotiating strategies. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Marques lead the Southern California leasing for Essex Property Trust, where he catalyzed leasing velocity of a portfolio of Class-A multi-family assets, including launch of the 500+ unit Wilshire La Brea development. Mr. Williams is a former professional baseball player with the Houston Astros organization, and a Partner at Honey’s Kettle Restaurant & Bakery in Culver City. Marques is one of the young leaders in the Los Angeles region and is recognized as a top producer in year-over-year transaction volume growth within C&W. He is also a highly sought-after spokesperson and is frequently quoted in the Los Angeles Times, The Los Angeles Business Journal and other real estate focused media publications. Marques serves as a board member of the Youth Business Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on bringing critical 21st century business skills and perspectives into the classroom by leveraging business partnerships and resources from the community. Additionally, he serves as a chapter leader of the Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL) and Blacks United in Leadership and Development (Build) within Cushman & Wakefield.
