INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Interpersonal skills is a program to support people managers, understand the Role and Responsibilities of a Saint-Gobain Manager and apply fundamental leadership skills.

OBJECTIVES

• Understand the Roles and Responsibilities of individual contributors and people managers • Develop new leaders to advance personal and team leadership skills • Establish new leader leadership styles

PARTICIPANTS People managers who have less than 1-3 years’ managerial experience Project managers who coordinate cross-function or cross-Business projects

PROGRAMME

• Role and responsibilities of Saint-Gobain managers -Understanding leadership from challenge to action and result -Leadership style to build team trust and performance • Effective delegation and empowerment -What, why, who when and how to delegate -Differences and ways of empowerment • Effective communication skills -Understanding others through active listening -Creating interest with power of question through funnel concept • Giving and getting feedback -Giving positive (recognition) and constructive (improvement) feedback -Getting feedback to strengthening understanding and relationship • Conflict resolution -When people with resistance, how to turn the conversation around? -Use of different techniques to deal with different conflicts •

• Course duration: A 2 months distance learning. Face-to-face sesion 2 days Participants: maximum 16 participants Administration formalities: Attendance sheet and on-line course evaluation
