Late ’global’ injuries: dysuria, frequency, urgency, contracture, spasm, reduced flow, and incontinence Late ‘focal’ injuries: hematuria, fistula, obstruction, ulceration, and necrosis

Mild symptoms difficult to attribute to RT with certainty Risk factors: advanced age, infection, chemotherapy, surgery, tumour location/size Incidence of severe late urinary toxicity ~10% (prostate, cervix, bladder cancer) Less transient profile compared to GI toxicity Seems to be increasing with modern aggressive RT
