• Successful radiotherapy requires correct delivery of planned dose • Achieved through commissioning of treatment-planning system (TPS) and treatment machines • Stable performance of machines monitored through a quality assurance (QA) programme – Absolute- and relative dose – Collimator positions • Plan-check routines make sure patients get correct treatment plans • Patient-specific QA an option but not necessarily a requirement
