SUPPLY OF MODULAR BUILDINGS TO FIRE DAMAGED WOODRIDGE In June 2017, raging fires ripped through the Van Stadens Gorge area in the Eastern Cape, among other regions. On Saturday, 10 June 2017, news reports confirmed that the fire had reached Woodridge College and Preparatory School. Non-local borders and staff had to evacuate the premises and regrettably, most of the buildings at the school were burnt to the ground.

units on time not only had a physical impact by providing suitable classrooms and support buildings, but also a positive impact on the learners and teachers on an emotional level after these individuals and their families had suffered the shock and trauma caused by the fires. At the time of delivery, Derek Bradley, Woodridge College Headmaster shared: “Woodridge College recognises the impact that these units will have in restoring order and normality to our daily lives, and we are thus very pleased with the flexibility, efficiency and professional services offered by Kwikspace.” Kwikspace was able to respond rapidly and deliver on this project successfully due to the fact that the company: • has the largest rental fleet in sub- Saharan Africa • offers cost-effective solutions • is able to offer immediate deliveries (rentals) • offers flexible options • provides accommodation or buildings as needed • deploys units rapidly In brief, it is a combination of Kwikspace’s quality products, its skilled teams and its wealth of experience that allow it to deliver excellently on projects of this nature. • Company entering: Kwikspace Modular Buildings • Client: Woodridge College • Contract value: R2 900 000 rental • Start date: 21 June 2017 • End date: 4 July 2017 • Main contractor: Kwikspace • Project value: R2 900 000 (rental)

The school suffered devastating losses to its reception hall, main hall, some of the hostels, school church, junior classrooms and music school, leaving approximately 390 learners without school facilities. The need was evident: classroom space had to be provided, and it needed to be delivered on a tight deadline. On 21 June 2017, only a few days after firefighters had to surrender to the flames, Kwikspace set to work. The school was due to reopen on 4 July 2017, giving Kwikspace less than two weeks to deliver and deploy its units. Since Kwikspace has the largest rental fleet in sub-Saharan Africa, it was well-

equipped to handle a project of this kind without hindrance. Kwikspace was contracted by the school to supply and deploy 21 rental units, including: • 16 (7,06 m x 8,14 m) classrooms • Four (2,99 m x 5,82 m) ablution units • One (2,99 m x 11,62 m) office unit These units covered nearly 1 000 m 2 and each classroom accommodated up to 20 students. Kwikspace’s speedy response time, its capable team and its high-quality products allowed for the successful set up of a reliable, temporary solution. The units will

be in use for approximately 12 months and the removal process also only requires approximately two weeks.
