What is the most memorable moment in your swimming or diving career? When I was eight years old, I tried out for my first swim team. I thought Iwould impress the coaches

by showing them that I already knew how to do a backstroke fl ipturn. Going into the turn, I miscalculated my distance from the wa ll and ended up flipping over just in time to slam my face into the gutter. Ithink they let me on the team just because they felt so bad for me. (The moral of the story: if you really want something you have to cry.Works every time.) What is your favorite CD? The Budapest Symphony Orchestra plays Gershw in's Rh apsody in Blue. It's rockin' Where is your favorite pool to compete in? My favorite pool to compete in isthe UT pool in Austin,TX. That's where my home team goesfor all ofour really important meets.When I'm there, I know it's time to go fast. My favorite pool to practice in ishere at USD.Looking at the palm trees during hard sets makes it easier to push yourself because you know you're in paradise! What is your favorite quote, and who said it? There are too many to choose... wow I'm such a geek. What is your favorite food in general or pre-swim meet meal?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE sushi, although probably not too good to eat before a meet. Before a meet in the morning I like to eat either a bagel with peanut butter and bananas, or a big bowl of cereal, because it doesn't get me too full, but is enough to get me through the meet. What is your favorite Starbucks drink? Viviano orange mango banana smoothies, they're delicious and nutritious! If you could go to any body of water to swim in, where would you go and why? I wou ld love to swim in one of those exotic hot springs that you always see on travel channels, because it wou ld be sooooo relaxing. Prep Swimmer for All Saints Catholic Secondary School ... Team MVP her junior and senior year ... Qualified for the Canadian Nationals in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly . Chose USD for the strong academics and the sma ll, private classes as well as the ex– cellent swim team including the swimmers, coaches, and beautiful training facilities. Personal Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada on November 27, 1989 to Ann Marie and Alfonso Rodriguez ... Was a member of the Whitby Dolphins Swim Club ... Will major in Biochemistry and pre-medical studies with the goal of becoming a 9 doctor.
