Health Insurance Ask your employer about health insurance benefits during your stay in Brazil. Most likely your company has a health plan that you will be able to join. Make sure that your health insurance covers your needs when you return home for short visits and also when you return home at the end of your assignment. Life Insurance Contact your life insurance company and ask about the effects your overseas posting may have on your life, endowment, or annuity policies. Find out about options for premium payments while you are in Brazil. Also find out if your life insurance company has a branch in Brazil so that you can continue your policy. Most Brazilian employers use a specific insurance company for their local employees and you should be able to use the same one.
