1. My Legal rights: rights and responsibilities of the individual 2. Why do people commit crimes? The various motivations for the economic, social and psychological motivations for committing crime. 3. Conflict resolution and the law: the approaches to resolve conflict in Australia using the law in a variety of ways 4. How the court system operates: the levels of the court system in Australia and the interrelationship between police authorities, prosecutions, the defence in the court system.

1. Contracts: what do I need to know? How to understand contract law? 2. Case studies of legal issues and trends. Student focused pursuit of modern legal issues

3. Independent Study: Students select a legal topic to pursue research.

4. Other types of law: Traditional/ Customary law.
