PROPERTY SIZES IN THE UK

According to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the average UK home is 900 square foot and has 5.2 rooms (in the whole property), with an average area of 175 sqft per room. On top of this, reports show that this size is reducing as more new homes are built. The purpose of this document is to offer you an insight into the average size of a property you can expect to see in the UK. As stated sizes are an average and dimensions of properties will depend on the location and rental price of the property. Note: While some agents, especially for larger houses in Surrey, may provide floorplans, it is not common practice in the UK for them to be included when a property is advertised.
