6.3.3 FRENCH SECTION:
OLTINGUE INTERCONNECTION POINT
The main exit point from the GRTgaz system to Switzerland (and Italy) is at the Olt- ingue Interconnection Point. Flow levels at this point are currently directed from France to Switzerland. This point is almost fully booked and shows a wide range of use, from 0 to the maximum available capacity. Until now, no entry capacity for physical flow to France is offered at the Oltingue IP. The following picture provides the positioning of Oltingue IP with relation to the German, Swiss and Italian networks, as well as locations for foreseen investments at Morelmaison:

Torino The investments, foreseen in order to develop 100GWh/day (or 9Mcm/day) entry capacity to France (PCI 5.9, TRA-N-045), are now identified, assuming that the “Arc de Dierrey” project is completed: \\ Investment located at Oltingue in order to change the way gas flows. \\ Adapting the interconnections at Morelmaison. The currently estimated time to build this new infrastructure is around three years. Furthermore, GRTgaz has received requests from shippers for additional firm capacity from France to Italy via Oltingue. A scenario currently under consideration is foreseeing to increase the capacity of about 60GWh/d (around 5Mcm/d). The investments that are necessary on the French network for such a development are a compression station near Champey and core network reinforcements with an expected time for building this infrastructure estimated at about five years. Next steps on this north-south flow project are linked to on-going studies on the Swiss side. Milano Grenoble I T A L Y Bizzarone Mortara Cervignano
