PARTIAL LIST OF DETECTABLE COMPOUNDS Hydrocarbons: Excellent response in gasoline, natural gas liquids (C6 to C16), napthas, kerosene, jet fuel, fuel oils and crude oils. Excellent response in pentane, hexane, heptane, octane, decane, benzene, toluene, xylene, vinyl toluene, butadiene and many others. Chlorinated hydrocarbons: Good to excellent response in methylene chloride, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, trichlorethane, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, chlorobenzene and chlorofluorocarbons (except light refrigerants). Alcohols: Excellent response in buytl, amyl, allyl, and higher alcohols. Ethers: Excellent response in diethly ether, methyl isobutyl ether, tetrahydrofuran (THF) and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MBTE). Organic acids: Excellent response in acetic (50% and up), formic, propanoic, butanoic, acrylic acids and phenol. Esters: Excellent response for most esters.
