Director’s Le er Dear Douglas County Citizens,

This is an exciting time for the Parks and Recreation Department in Douglas County. You, the voters, have spoken and passed the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). These funds will be used to improve the quality of life as we know it in Douglas County.

The SPLOST will fund a new Recreation Center, Senior Center, and provide upgrades for a number of parks and ball elds. As the new facilities come online, it will give the Recreation Department sta the ability to o er new programming for our community. Please take a few minutes to look over the

existing programs that are o ered for you and your families. As always, we appreciate your feedback, comments and opinions.

Sincerely, DOUGLAS COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION Gary L. Dukes, Director
