How to Setup a Skype Audio and/or Video Conference Call: 1. From your Outlook/Exchange Inbox, select the ‘Skype Meeting’ button located at the top of the screen in toolbar. 2. Send your meeting invite that was pre-populated with your conference ID and meeting links like you would any other meeting invite. Please note: if your Conference ID is not a 5 digit number, contact Telecommunications so that your conference ID can be reset. Once reset, you shouldn’t have to reset it again.

3. When the date and time arrives for your meeting, open your calendar invite and select the ‘Join Skype Meeting’ link. Once you’ve selected that link, you will need to select how you will join the meeting audio. Your frst option is “Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience). This will use your mic, speakers and webcam built into your laptop and/or desktop. Your second option is ‘Call me at’. Select the radio button and the drop down followed by ‘New number’. Here you enter either a 4 digit internal number or a 10 digit ‘336’ number. Area codes other than ‘336’ will not work. Your third option is ‘Don’t join audio’. This would only be used if you were to dial into your conference from an external number such as your cell phone. 4. External participants will have the option to use the ‘Skype Web App’ when they click on the ‘Join Skype Meeting’ link. 5. The frst time a user selects ‘Join Using Skype for Business Web App’,

they may need to load the ‘Skype for Business Web App plug-in’. This should only have to be done once. After the plug-in has been installed, simply select the ‘Join the Meeting’ button. 6. As always, it’s a good idea to setup a test conference to become familiar with the features and identify any issues with your setup before the date of your actual conference.
