READY, SET, GO & preschool

READY SET GO! Are you signing your child up for preschool next year? Can your child sit for short periods of time? Then this class is for you! This program is designed to introduce your child to the daily and weekly routine of preschool. Each week we will include curriculum that is based on our Parker's Playtime Preschool program which focuses on children's overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and play, with activities that are adapted to meet the needs of this age group! Children do not need to be potty trained, a caregiver will be called if a diaper change is needed. Due to popular demand spaces fill up quickly, please call for availability and to register. MUSIC CLASSES PIANO LESSONS Learn how to play the piano!

Private lessons are offered for beginner to advanced students in 30-minute weekly sessions. Lessons are tailored to meet different styles of learning to ensure success. If you come with a desire to learn, the music will follow! We will use color-coded lessons for younger students to make learning fun. Come as a beginner or to resolve problems from previous lessons. TOT ROCK Maracas and clackers and tambourines, too; it's musical fun just for you! Tot Rock is a unique music and learning program designed specifically for 1 year olds. KID ROCK Make it a musical day! Kid Rock is a music and movement program designed to stimulate development through interactive play. Fine and gross motor skills are improved through imagination exercises, and by using rhythm instruments and movement props such as tambourines, maracas, scarves and a parachute. Presented in a structured format, Kid Rock encourages cooperation and following directions. Each session focuses on a new educational theme. This is a parent-participation class! YOUTH CLASSES

MAGIC CLASS Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the "Magic Team of Gary Kantor". Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you'll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session. The registration deadline is one week prior to class. SMR

WHACK-A-WORRY! LIFE COACHING FOR KIDS

While there is no miracle “quick fix,” this class has the potential to be a transformational kick-off to managing feelings of anxiety and worry, and building self-worth! Don’t want to commit to one class? Purchase a Fall Fitness Punch card for $35 and receive an all-access pass to 5 fitness classes of your choice (does not include STRONG by Zumba)! The punch card is valid for any Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Zumba classes through December 27. Cards can be purchased over the phone (630-553-4357) , or in person during business hours (10:00-2:00pm) at the Recreation Administration Office (201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville). Cards must be presented to the instructor before each class for valid use.
