OCTOBER Yorktober Fest Saturday, October 5; Noon-9pm Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) Join the United City of Yorkville, Kiwanis Club, and Knights of Columbus in this year’s Yorktober Fest! Enjoy a day filled with food, musical entertainment, children’s activities, and everyone’s favorite – The Pumpkin Pull! Wear a costume, bring your flashlight, a container for eggs, and hunt in the darkness for candy-filled eggs! It will be a spooktacular time you won’t want to miss!! 7th/8th Grade Boys Basketball League Registration Monday, October 21 – Friday, November 1 Register online at NOVEMBER Intramural High School Boys Basketball Registration Monday, November 4 – Friday, November 15 This league is designed to provide a recreational basketball opportunity for boys in high school. Circle Center Grade School (901 Mill St, Yorkville) The school will be bursting with Holiday cheer with carnival games, bake sale, shopping circles, concessions, and of course, Santa Claus! Presale tickets are available for purchase online at Yorkville.il.us/register. Yorkville Holiday Celebration Saturday, November 23; 5:30-7:30pm Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) Kick off this Holiday season with the Yorkville Holiday Celebration! The parade starts at 5:30pm, followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and ending with everyone’s favorite, FIREWORKS!

Chili Chase 5K For the Cure Sunday, November 24; 8:30am Yorkville American Legion (9054 E Veterans Pkwy, Yorkville)

Day-of registration begins at 7:30am with the race starting at 8:30am. The Chili Chase 5K is back, FOR A CURE! We’ve partnered with the American Cancer Society for this year’s Chili Chase 5K run/ walk. A portion of each registration will benefit Hope Fest of Kendall County to help the American Cancer Society save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. For $20/Family, you will enjoy a 15-minute visit with Santa to check Christmas lists, take pictures, and make the holiday extra magical! Professional photography not provided. Letters to Santa Mailed by Wednesday, December 11 Santa is checking his list and wants to hear from YOU this Holiday Season! Please send your letter (include age and gender) to Santa by December 11. Santa will then read your letter & send a response by December 23! All letters should be addressed to: Santa c/o Yorkville Recreation Department 201 W. Hydraulic Ave Yorkville, IL 60560 Please note, this is intended for individual families. Large groups and schools will not receive replies back.
