Advantages  Improved characterization of soft tissues compared with CT  MR distortion assessment/correction algorithms/co- registration/fusion can improve these technical issues  DCE-MRI & diffusion MRI may contribute to characterization of tumour sub-regions  Ultrafast cine MR sequences may define temporal patterns of target & organ at risk deformity and variations in spatial location  PET/MRI GTV combined may be provide a more accurate assessment of tumour burden. (New lesions in 15%/Stage chane in 12% of the patients by PET/CT).
