Not visible on MRI  T1: Clinically inapparent  Tumour neither palpable nor visible by imaging

Visible on MRI  T2: Confined to prostate

 T2a: ≤ one half of one lobe  T2b : >one half of one lobe  T2c: involves both lobes

 T1a: incidental histologic finding in ≤5% of resected tissue  T1b: incidental histologic finding in >5% of resected tissue  T1c: identified by needle biopsy
