3D Conformal External Beam RT

Non-invasive technique feasible in every RT department Usually 4-5 non-coplanar photon beams Prone or supine position Final pathology report is usually available Less dependent on experience and operative skills Treatment is very seldom interrupted Optimal dose homogeneity

CTV lumpectomy bed is defined guided by pre-op imaging, details from surgical/pathology report, clips, seromen, postoperative changes, and a margin of 10-15 mm is added and limited within the CTV breast (5mm from skin and chest wall)

May also be used as pre-operative (stereotactic) APBI
