The two companies jointly promote a new ‘Cast&Draw’ process, which delivers semi- finished copper tubes and consists of three distinct stages: upward continuous casting of thin-walled tube; breakdown drawing of cast tube; and intermediate annealing of drawn tube. Upcast Oy covers the ‘cast’ portion with its Upcast ® -SGTube technology, while ASMAG GmbH provides equipment for the ‘draw’ portion, consisting of straight drawing and annealing.
