2ndYear AssistantCoach Shelley Sheetz
Shelley Sheetz brings All-America honors and professional playing experience to the Torero staff as a second year assistant under Head Coach Kathy Marpe. Shelley coaches the USO guards and plays a major role in recruiting , scouting and practice planning . Sheetz, who played college basketball at the University of Colorado from 1991 -1995, was the fi rst ever Kodak All-America in Colorado's school history. The Big Eight Freshman of the Year in 1992, Sheetz earned All Big Eight and Big Eight Tournament honors in her junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Sheetz guided the Buffalos to a school record 25 game winning streak and her team finished 14-0 in the Big Eight Conference.
After Sheetz guided Colorado to the Elite Eight for the second time in her career, the Conference selected her as the 1995 Female Athlete of the Year. Sheetz was named All-America by Kodak, Associated Press , and U.S. Basketball Writers Association , and was a finalist for the Naismith Award . The state of Colorado honored her as the Sports Women of the Year in 1993 and 1995. When her career at Colorado ended , Sheetz became the Colorado and Big Eight leader of three-point baskets made at 252 , Colorado's second all-time points leader with 1,755, and second all-time leader in assists with 514. At the end of her collegiate career, Sheetz played professionally for Wuppertal , Germany, the Colorado Xplosion , and the Portland Power in the American Basketball League . Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sheetz was elected into the Iowa High School Hall of Fame in 1996. Sheetz began her coaching career in the Northwest, as an assistant at Washington State University.

Dana McGraw brings extensive coaching experience and impressive creden– tials to USO as a first year assistant under Head Coach Kathy Marpe. McGraw has five years of coaching experience , holds an MBA from Baylor University and was a 1997 Summa Cum Laude graduate from Loyola University in New Orleans. Dana will work with the USO post players , as well as , assisting with recruiting and scouting efforts .
McGraw was hired in June of 2002 after serving as an assistant coach at San Diego State for the past two seasons . At San Diego State , she coached the post players , served as the academic liaison and assisted with recruiting . Prior to joining the Aztecs' coaching staff, McGraw held similar coaching positions at Chicago State , where she served as the recruiting coordinator during the 1999- 2000 season , and at Texas A&M-Commerce in 1998-1999. While earning her MBA at Baylor, McGraw served as a graduate assistant for the women 's basketball program. A native of Atlanta , McGraw earned the Cardinal Key Award given to the Most Outstanding Female Graduate at Loyola University. She was also given the Percy A. Roy, S.J . Memorial Award after earning the highest G.P.A. of a graduating senior. While attaining a B.A. in Philosophy, McGraw received the Senior Scholar-Athlete Award and was a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
