H. Our pride and independence resist any appearance of weakness or begging. Again, this is a struggle with our own flesh. We'd rather do something and accomplish our way to a sense of worth. Prayer is humbling. It says, "God, I can't do any­ thing without you," and it helps us find our sense of worth in our relationship with Him.
