JSM - Edition Three

N ever S ay N ever - continued

Dear Claire, I am very sorry to have to leave, I have made some great memories with you and I am going to miss you forever, I will never let you become a lost memory and I hope you will do the same. Just in case you do forget me keep this letter somewhere safe so when you want to remember me you can pull out this letter and remember me. One more thing to help me remember you and you remember me is this little friend-ship bracelet I hand crafted myself. Below is a vow so we will never forget each other sign you name like I have signed mine. We may never hear from each other and see each other again but I will never forget you! I, Madeline solemnly swear that I will never forget you even if we are parted by death I, _______________________ solemnly swear that I will never forget you even if we are parted by death. From your BFF Madeline I felt my heart return to its normal rhythm and I felt my breathe being released like a lion being let out of a cage. As I turned over the bracelet with troubled hands. The bracelet was very beautiful it had a golden ‘C’ in the middle of the violet beads. The letters ‘BFF’ engraved in to the heart shaped beads it looked like the colours in king’s robe. I placed the neat bracelet carefully into a music box with a dancing ballerina twirling to the sound of soft sounding music, closed the lid and placed the little music box in my top draw so I would never forget its position. I knew what I would have to do next. I would have to write back to Madeline, so very carefully I took the sharpest pencil in my room, grabbed a clean sheet of paper and started writing this is what it said so far: I was lost for words! I didn’t know what to write because I didn’t want to make her sad or angry. I really just wanted to curl up in a tight ball and cry myself to sleep, but I knew I had to do it so I grabbed my pencil for the second time and started writing: Dear Madeline, Although I will miss you terribly I will never forget you I have enjoyed every moment that I have spent with you. I know you will make lots of friends and be really happy in the country side like I was and you will find someone who will become your best friend. I suddenly had a brain wave! Madeline and I could write to each other even if we never ever see each other again. We would still be able to keep in touch we could write to each other weekly! I would tell Madeline straight away. So I grabbed my pencil for the third time in the last ten minutes. Dear Madeline, Although I will miss you terribly I will never forget you I have enjoyed every moment that I have spent with you. I know you will make lots of friends and be really happy in the country side like I was. You will find someone who will become your best friend. I have great news I have found a way to be able to speak to each other! We can write a letter to one another weekly to tell us what we’ve been up to and then we can post it and you and I get to still be able to hear from each other weekly! You were wrong when you said we will never hear each other and we can post pictures as well so we can see one another! From your BFF Claire Continued over page... Dear Madeline,
