DFA Hughson Plant Closing The DFA plant located in Hughson, CA will be closing with a final ship date of 9/14/18. This 100+ year old facility stopped making butter a few years ago and a recent fire put their powder operation out of business, leaving condensed skim milk and cream as the only products they were processing – mostly for adding solids to milk to meet CA standards. Due to an agreement with the city of Hugson, the plant will remain as-is in idle condition for the next 12-18 months, while DFA determines what to do with the plant or equipment. This has no effect on the DFA Turlock Cheese plant.
