Our third new partner is Tony’s Fine Foods, a brand marketer that uses both California processors of Cheese and California Cut/Wrap operators to pack their brand of Cheese called Gold Rush Creamery. Tony’s has been a major distributor of cheese and meats for many years throughout California. They were recently purchased by Natural Foods Distributor, UNFI, but also continue to operate somewhat separately, doing what they do best in the local retailers and foodservice accounts they serve.

Our fourth new partner is Mogo Milk. Mogo uses California Milk Powder to make on-the-go Cereal items, that are convenient, healthy and nutritious. They further refine the milk powder, retaining all the nutrition but making it easier to dissolve when adding water. Their claim is the milk is as rich and creamy as it would normally be without reconstituting it. They also have a new product line of “just add water” milk beverages that are shelf stable and portable, including high protein, caffeinated and coffee items. It is processors like this that are stepping out with innovative ways to use a commodity ingredient such as milk powder and convert it to a premium higher value product.
