This accounted for 20.5 percent of the total California and Federal Order milk marketings in December 2017. Tulare County, the largest dairy production county in the U.S., produced 917.7 million pounds of Grade A milk during December 2017, representing 5.7 percent of total California and Federal Order milk marketings.
