Banksia Gazzette - May 2016

From the Manager s Desk

Hi All, Welcome to the April / May newsletter,

We hope you all enjoyed your Easter and congratulations to Judy Webber on winning the Easter Basket with a winning guess on the Easter egg hunt in the last Gazette, the winning number was 260. Well we have been busy here at Banksia Grove with Anzac Day Service, visits from RFS to show us what was purchased with the money donated by Banksia Grove management & residents, followed by a delightful morning tea and our great day trip to Tea Gardens which we were blessed with a sunny Autumn day, great food and good company.

A few upcoming events to look forward to are The Biggest Morning Tea, and a bus trip to Butti Barn for a Christmas in July lunch. Details will be available on the notice boards.

The Australian Hearing Bus will also be visiting the village on Tuesday 26th May and will be located in the carpark from 9.00am to 3.00pm Free to all residents for hearing checks and any repairs needed on hearing aids.

After talking to residents it has become apparent that many would prefer to receive important village information via electronic means.

As a result, we will start to use electronic communication such as emails to notify residents of any urgent or important village news and announcements. We will also share village updates on social media sites such as Facebook. We are also excited to announce that we will be transforming our monthly journals into an electronic format which can be sent to you via email or viewed on our website. Printed copies of the journal will continue to be available for those who prefer.

We are confident that these new formats will be more user-friendly and will help us make a positive environmental impact. IF you have any other suggestions please let us know.

The Banksia Grove Gazette is now viewable online at under the heading of “News”.
