LOW TRACTION LAUNCH Range Rover features a dedicated launch functionality, which enables the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on tricky low-friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.

With an all-aluminium body and true Land Rover capability at its heart, the Range Rover delivers incredible off-road performance. Our unique Terrain Response 2 * system is designed to monitor driving conditions and automatically optimise driveability and traction by adapting the responses of the vehicle’s engine, gearbox, centre differential and chassis systems to match the demands of the terrain. Even when it is not in Auto Mode, Terrain Response 2 provides the driver with additional input, such as advising when to select low range or the off-road ride height. There are five Terrain Response settings: General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud and Ruts, Sand, and Rock Crawl.

All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) is a state-of-the art system that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions. Operating like a cruise control system, it functions at very low speeds between 2kph and 30kph, enabling the driver to maintain full concentration on steering and finding a path through obstacles. Developed by Land Rover’s industry-leading all-terrain specialists, the system works seamlessly alongside the Terrain Response 2 and 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) traction and braking systems. Once ATPC is activated, the standard steering wheel +/- cruise control buttons are used to set the speed. Brake and accelerator pedals can still override the chosen settings, with gentle braking achieving a reduction in speed.

ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION

A sure-footed, composed drive is completed by the latest 4-corner air suspension which provides exceptional wheel articulation and poise. Capable of taking on tough situations, this system is designed to keep the Range Rover composed and stable no matter how rough the terrain. For unprecedented ride quality, it switches heights seamlessly when necessary.
