ISAR GFK in Wörnitz deals with fibre composites, especiallyforthemanufacturing of tubes and cylinders. Its new development method makes it possible to reinforce bands, tubes or cylinders with fibre composites like fibre glass, carbon fibre, aramid fibre, natural fibre and so on. These types of fibre composites usually have the disadvantage that they do not provide any wear surfaces. Isar has developed a new technology to get a stiff wear surface of the fibre composite component, which provides the properties of hardened tool steel. Furthermore, it has managed to give the fibre composites a very high temperature stability, so it is possible to produce temperatures of up to 300°C economically. This method means it is possible to produce highly dynamic components, and especially for this production the company
