This immensely strong bodyshell uses a high strength 6000 series aluminium alloy. Saving weight without compromising durability, it provides very high torsional stiffness, supporting precise handling. It helps achieve optimum weight distribution approaching 50:50. The lightweight structure not only reduces fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions, it means that the XE range is able to encompass everything from as low as 109*-111g/km to a maximum speed of up to 250km/h.
