Meetings of the Council.

MR. RICHARD NEVILLE, Solicitor, died upon the 8th March, 1927, at his residence, Kil- brogan Hill, Bandon, Co. Cork. Mr. Neville was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1889, and practised at Bandon. MR. HENRY E. THOMPSON, Solicitor, died upon the 14th March, 1927, at his residence, Castle Lugg, Greenisland, Co. Antrim. Mr. Thompson served his apprenticeship with Mr. Henry F. Leachman, 1 College Street, Dublin; was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1910, and practised at 1 College Street, Dublin, up to 1925, when he went to 7 Bedford Street, Belfast. MR. GEORGE A. ATKINSON, Solicitor, died upon the 18th March, 1927, at his residence, Skea Hall, Enniskillen. Mr. Atkinson was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1881, and practised at Enniskillen up to 1919, when he retired. New Solicitors. High Court Orders. The Council had before them specimens of paper for copies of High Court Orders, in reference to the suitability of which the Master of the Court invited the views of the Council. The Council approved of a specimen submitted. District Court Affidavits. Letters in reply were read from the two representatives of the profession on the District Court Rules Committee, in reference to the suggestion that Peace Commissioners should be authorised to take affidavits for the District Courts. Half-yearly General Meeting. The Half-yearly General Meeting of the Society will be held at two o'clock, p.m., on Monday, 16th May, 1927, at 45 Kildare Street, Dublin. Obituary. MR. ROBERT DEYOS, Solicitor, died upon the 1st March, 1927, at his residence, Rivers- dale, Sunday's Well, Cork. Mr. Deyos was admitted in Michaelmas Term, 1870, and practised at 29 South Mall, Cork.
