llth March. Twenty-five Members present. Land Commission.

Obituary. MR. EDWARD J. SMYTH, Solicitor, died upon the 8th March, 1925, at The Farm, Monkstown, County Dublin. Mr. Smyth was admitted in Easter Term, 1868, and practised at 2 Clare Street up to 1881, when he retired. JAMES WHITESIDE DANE, D.L., Solicitor, died upon the 9th March, 1925, at Colwyn Bay. . , . . Mr. Dane was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1878, and practised at Enniskillen up to 1889, when he was appointed Clerk of the Crown and Peace for County Kildare, from which office he retired in 1921. MR. HENRY A. MACAULAY, Solicitor, died upon the 10th March, 1925, at his residence, Strandmore, Portrush. Mr. Macaulay was admitted in Trinity Term, 1870, and practised at Coleraine. MR.

A deputation was appointed to interview Mr. Justice V/ylie in reference to procedure under the Land Act, 1923. Examinations. A report from the Court of Examiners in reference to subjects for Examinations in 1926 was dealt with.

25th March. Nineteen Members present. Affidavits in District Courts.

The question of the persons before whom affidavits for use in District Courts may be sworn in Northern Ireland and out of Ireland, was referred for consideration to the Circuit and District Courts Committee. . Preliminary Examination. The Council appointed Mr. William E. O'Reilly, Solicitor, to. .examine in Irish at the Preliminary Examination.
