Mr. Knight was admitted in Trinity Term, 1860, and practised at Clones up to 1890, in which year he was appointed Clerk of the Crown and Peace for County Meath, which office he held up to 1920, when he retired. MR. EVERARD HAMILTON, Solicitor, died upon the 14th August, 1925, at his residence, Ballinteer Lodge, Dundrum, County Dublin. Mr. Hamilton was admitted in Trinity Term, 1877, and practised at 30 South Frederick Street, Dublin, in partnership with Mr. Thomas H. R. Craig, under the style of Hamilton and Craig. MR. DANIEL PURCELL, Solicitor, died upon the 20th August, 1925, at his residence, 45 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin. Mr. Purcell was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 188G, and practised at 45 Lr. Leeson Street, Dublin, in partnership with his son, Mr. Noel M. J. Purcell, under the style of Daniel Purcell and Son. MR. EDWARD S. MACNAIJ, Solicitor, died upon the 22nd August, 1925, at Bangor, North Wales. Mr. Macnab was admitted in Michaelmas Term, 1877, and practised at 11 South Frederick Street, Dublin, in partnership with Mr. John Read, under the style of Read and Macnab up to 1924, when he retired. MR. WILLIAM G. MAGINESS, Solicitor, died upon the 5th September, 1925, at Belfast. Mr. Maginess served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. William Montgomery and Mr. John R. Moorhead, Belfast; was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1893, and practised at Lisburn. MR. RICHARD J. MARTIN, Solicitor, died upon the 29th September, 1925, at Dublin. Mr. Martin was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1891, and practised at 20 Saint Andrew Street, Dublin, up to 1907, when he was appointed Solicitor of Inland Revenue for Ireland, which position he held up to 1924, when he retired. MR. THOMAS HEALY, Solicitor, died on 5th October, 1925, at Abbeyside, Dungarvan. Mr. Healy was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1888, and practised formerly at Wexford and subsequently at Callan and Tullow, up to 1922, when he retired.

MR. ALEXANDER A. LOCKHART, Solicitor, died upon the 9th October, 1925. Mr. Lockhart (who was a member of the firm of Crawford and Lockhart) was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1883, and practised at 4 Queen's Square, Belfast. MR. JAMES S. ATKINSON, Solicitor, died upon the 13th October, 1925, at his residence 114 Rathgar Road, Dublin. Mr. Atkinson (who was a member of the firm of Darley, Orpen and Synnott) was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1878, and practised at 31 Kildare Street, Dublin. New Members. The Irish Land Commission have issued printed instructions dated 20th August, 1925, to Solicitors and Owners in relation to the preparation of the statement of ownership, general notice to claimants, and requisitions to Quit Rent Office, Commissioners of Public Works, and as to Tithe Rentcharge. Solicitors can obtain one copy each on application at the Examiners' Branch at the Irish Land Commission, 24 Upper Merrion Street. Land Bonds. In the Dail on 12th November, 1925, Major Bryan Cooper put the following question at the request of the Council of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland: To ask the Minister for Finance if he will state why no steps have yet been taken as to the issue of Land Bonds under the Land Act of 1923 to those persons; who have been declared entitled to same by Orders made by the Judicial Commissioner of the Land Commission and whose names have been inscribed in a Ledger in the National Land Bank
