1 CARBON DIOXIDE MONITOR -NEW! Carbon dioxide monitors are used to detect the presence and concentration of CO2 in the air in parts per million (ppm). Very high levels of CO2 may indicate poor ventilation in a room, which can lead to increased likelihood of drowsiness, headaches, nausea, lack of concentration etc. Poor ventilation in an enclosed room or space also increases the risk of the spread of viruses (e.g. coronavirus) and respiratory infections, which are primarily spread through droplets in the air. This monitor, with large colour display, helps to measure CO2 levels in spaces such as classrooms, offices etc. and provides a visual indication of CO2 levels in ppm, along with a colour change indication of the safety level of CO2, to allow preventative or remedial measures to be taken if required. The monitor also measures and displays temperature and humidity. Outdoor levels of CO2 are typically around 400ppm. Indoors, a consistent CO2 value less than 800ppm indicates a room is well ventilated. 800 - 1500ppm CO2 is an indicator of poor ventilation and for levels above 1500ppm, action should be taken by opening windows or doors to improve airflow and reduce CO2 levels. The device adopts a high-precision non-dispersive infrared CO2 sensor that detects CO2 accurately and sensitively and includes a USB lead and high- capacity rechargeable lithium battery for economy and portability. • Temperature range: -20 to +70°C; Accuracy: +/-2°C; Resolution: 0.1°C • Humidity range 0 to 100%RH; Accuracy: +/- 3.5%RH (20 to 80%RH); Resolution: 0.1%RH • 1000mAh rechargeable lithium battery, with USB 5V charging • 2.4” (6cm) TFT colour display • Dimensions: 100mm x 60mm x 47mm • Powers off after 30 minutes of inactivity • Includes USB charging cable, instructions & calibration certificate Cat No. Description Price 2 LOGIT CARBON DIOXIDE SENSOR For measuring gaseous Carbon Dioxide in photosynthesis experiments and environmental studies as well as during chemical reactions. See DATALOGGING section Range: 0 to 2000 ppm (standard range); 0 to 20000 ppm (software range). Cat No. Description Type Price Per DAT-350-150 Carbon Dioxide Sensor Other 299.95 ea. Per EMO-200-100 Carbon Dioxide monitor 139.65 ea. 3 CHOICE CHAMBER -NEW! The classic and well-known choice chamber, for observing the behaviour and preferred habitat conditions of small organisms. Manufactured using an injection moulded ABS base and Acrylic lid, the robust design and finish ensure many years use. The organisms being tested (e.g. woodlice or maggots) are introduced via the 15mm central hole in the lid. The base has four equal compartments, for holding desiccating and humidifying components. A piece of fine mesh (available separately) is then placed over the compartments, and the lid placed on top to hold the mesh in place. The mesh layer ensures the organisms cannot come into contact with the desiccant etc. below. The lid of the chamber is also divided it into quarters, to allow card or paper segments to be placed on top, so that light can be let through or be blocked out, providing a range of conditions within the quadrants. The lid fits onto the base in such a way that the segments align with the segments of the base below. Dimensions: 180mm dia. x 35mm high. Sold individually. Requires mesh material, which is available separately. Cat No. Description Price Per ECL-650-100 Choice Chamber 7.78 ea. ECL-650-100 Mesh Material 5.70 1m • CO2 concentration range 0 to 9999ppm • NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) carbon dioxide sensor • Accuracy +/-75ppm / +/-5% of rdg • Resolution 1ppm
